Public Hearing:
Conference Participants Voice Their Views

Friday, 10 September 2004
Afternoon Session 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

This session provides an opportunity for Conference participants to express their concerns and make recommendations on civil society’s role in supporting MDG campaigns around the world. It will synthesize the remaining challenges to achieving the goals and will lay the groundwork for an action plan for civil society and its United Nations, government and private-sector partners to substantially improve the human condition by 2015.

A moderator and three international experts will respond to statements made by selected NGO representatives and field questions and comments posted on the Conference interactive web site. This feedback will be included in a final report of the Conference to be submitted to the United Nations Secretary-General.
