SPECIAL EVENTS

On behalf of the REDLIGHT CHILDREN campaign and Priority Films, it is our pleasure to invite you to a presentation on the REDLIGHT CHILDREN campaign at the 59th annual Department of Public Information and Non-Governmental Organization conference at the United Nations.

Each year, over two million children are sold or kidnapped and forced into child sexual slavery and prostitution.

The REDLIGHT CHILDREN campaign is a worldwide grassroots human rights initiative promoting awareness and practical action to reduce the number of sexually exploited children. The campaign combines Priority Films' three celebrity-packed films about the issue and an easy-to-use website at www.redlightchildren.org. The campaign focuses on decreasing the demand for any form of child sexploitation by promoting more efficient legislation and stronger enforcement. While the campaign is global to match the worldwide epidemic, the legislation is localized by country.

The three films, a feature-length narrative and two documentaries on child trafficking and prostitution, are based on real-life experiences of children in the underage sex trade. Holly stars Ron Livingston of Sex in the City; French film actress Virginie Ledoyen of 8 Women and The Beach; Udo Kier of Dogville and Shadow of a Vampire; the late Chris Penn of Reservoir Dogs and After the Sunset; and 14-year-old Thuy Nguyen in her first feature film. The buzz generated by the films is sure to draw millions to the campaign. After Holly's recent world premiere, the critics raved: "a film that never stoops to sensationalism or skin to make its heartfelt points" - Variety "the acting in this film is just amazing" - Flixen.com "Holly is a superb film" - Filmstalker

The Virgin Harvest is drawing similar acclaim: "the stories of the Virgin Harvest must not be ignored… beautiful and well done…" Oliver Stone

The REDLIGHT CHILDREN campaign has been gaining steady momentum with the cooperation of leading media icons, major international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and numerous smaller organizations around the world.
